GENERAL TRACK RULES
1. Track officials decision will be final. The rules can't be tailored to fit everyone's needs. If you plan to race at our track please be willing to follow these rules.
2. Track
officials re
serve the right to administer any penalty including immediate removal from the track, or permanent suspension to drivers, or crew members that appear to be a threat to the safety of others or hindrance to the normal operations of the track. This is in the complete discretions of the track officials All decisions will be final.
3. Refusing to obey officials on the track may result in, being disqualified or banned.
4. All drivers, without a driver’s license must be approved by track officials prior to competing.
5.The first three cars in all divisions must weigh in at the scales, after feature race.
6. We do not hold prize money for anyone it must be picked up the night of the race.
7. Fighting, drinking, or the use of drugs will not be tolerated. Any driver caught drinking alcoholic beverages or using any controlled substances will be banned for two weeks first offense, second offense 30 days, third offense banned for one season.
8. Any driver or crewmember that enters another driver's pit area causing a fight will be considered the aggressor. If the incident happens away from either driver's pit area both drivers and pit crew will be considered aggressors. The aggressor will receive the ban, that car will forfeit any money.
9. Any unnecessary roughness on the track, the race will stop and the person or persons responsible will be disqualified.
10. Anyone using obscene language or gestures displayed where the fans in the stands can see or hear will be subject to removal from the track. If crew member does said offense car loses prize money for that night.
11. Drivers will be held responsible for all crew members. This means if your crew member did it, the track will consider it as if the driver did it.
12. Any driver suspended from the track for any reason will be on probation for the rest of the year. The next violation will result in being banned for the rest of the year.
13. All children under the age of 14 in the pit area must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Failure to follow this rule could result in being removed from the pits and/or track.
14. Any car or cars found to be illegal will result in the loss of money for that race.
15. Drivers refusing to tear down while being protested will be banned for 2 weeks 1st offense and lose any prize money won for that night. 2nd offense will be banned for 4 weeks and 3rd offense will be banned for the rest of the year.
16. Any car going to the pits while under caution or red flag must go to the rear of the field for the restart.
17. Anyone driving in the pits must do so in a slow & responsible way. Anyone that drives reckless or out of control at the discretion of officials could be removed from the track and/or banned.
18. Any driver getting out of his/her car on the track under a caution or red flag condition will be sent to the pits. The only time this rule will be waived is for safety reasons, fire, ect.
19. Work on race cars must be done in the pit area. No work is to be done to the cars on the track.
20. Any car that brings out the caution 3 times in the race will be disqualified.
21. Drivers are not allowed to race in more than one class per race night. Drivers that race NeSmith Late Model and/or Topless Late Model can race both classes with different car and payment of second entry fee of $50.
22.A race car can only compete in one race per race night, without prior authorization from a track official.
23. All cars are subject to inspection by track officials at anytime.
24. Any driver caught racing or trying to race in more than one race per night, with the exception of NeSmith Late Model and Topless Late Model will be subject to being banned. This call is left to track officials’ discretion.
25. Drivers are responsible for their own sign-in, it is the responsibility of the driver to sign-in under the correct class and use his or her correct name. Only the driver signed in may drive in said event. Once a race has been started there will be no change. This means once the time trials, heat races, last chance races, have started there will be no driver change.
26. Any car that enters the track under green and stops to bring out the caution wil
l be disqualified. This applies on starts and restarts.
27. All 4 wheelers and golf carts must purchase a personal vehicle pit pass at the gate the same time you purchase your pit pass. The cost of the pass is $20.00 per race event per vehicle. All passes must be displayed on the vehicle at all times. This will be needed on all 4-wheelers and golf carts. No motorcycles. All vehicles must operate in a safe manner at all times. Failure to do so will be asked to leave the facility. Also, must sign a release and register vehicle at Pit Pass window.
28. Any driver in the pits or going to the pits under green, yellow, or red must enter the pits on the back straightaway. Do not enter the pit in turn 1 if you do you will be disqualified. Any car entering the track must do so at the turn 1 entrance.
29. In the event a driver is suspended, the suspension will start at the next scheduled event and continue until completed.
30. No one will be allowed in the tower. There is a box at the bottom of the step to put any announcements you may need. Anyone that enters the tower without permission is subject to ejection from the track.
31. No two-way radios allowed. All drivers must have a RACEceiver at ALL times while on track. It is drivers’ responsibility to have RACEceiver in working order.
32. Mufflers required in ALL classes. Must register under 100 decibels at 100 ft.
33. Track reserves the right to adjust weight in ALL classes at any time in the interest of competition for everyone.
Starts
1. The green flag starts the race. Jumping the start (moving out of line before the flag) will be considered a penalty and the offending driver or drivers will be put one row back.
2. After the "one lap to go" signal has been given by the flagman all cars must stay inline and at a controlled pace set by the lead car on the inside until turn 4 is reached. The front cars must be side by side with the cars close behind and side by side. If the flag man feels the lineup is correct the race will be started at some point between exiting turn 4 and the flag stand. There will be no passing before the flag stand. Any driver who passes before the flag stand will be put to the rear. The race will not start until the green flag waves.
3. In the event of a caution before the first lap is completed, the field will be lined-up for a complete restart in the original grid order, provided there are no penalty's to be assessed. In the event a driver goes in the pits they must be back on the track before
the one lap to go signal has been given to get their original starting position back, if not they must go to the rear.
4. Cars must not lay back in an attempt to get a run on the car in front of them.
5. The car charged with the caution must restart in the rear of the field.
6. Cars must be lined up in starting position in staging area before completion of previous race. If you are not lined up in position before the completion of the previous race, which means when the checkered flag falls, you are late and you WILL start at the rear of the field. There will be a Pit Official in the staging area to make this decision.
Single file Restarts
1. Single file restarts will be made after a full lap has been completed using the cone system and the green flag to start the race.
The orange cone will be placed on the track. There will be no passing before the cone. Any driver, who hits the cone, passes before the cone, or goes below the cone will be put to the rear of the field.
2. Any car that is judged to be jumping the start will be penalized one spot. If the same car is judged to be jumping a second time in the same race it will be put to the rear of the field.
Flag Rules
1. Green- Start of race.
2. Yellow-Caution. Wreck or debris on track. Slow down; follow the car you were behind on the last lap. Do Not race back to the start finish line on yellow flag.
3. Red- emergency stop as quickly as possible. Do not pass the flag stand when this flag is displayed. Failure to stop when the red flag is displayed will result in a one lap penalty or disqualification.
4. Blue/Yellow- you are about to be lapped, move to the outside immediately. Failure to do so will result in a black flag.
5. Black-Disqualification. Pull into the pits and remain there.
6-White-one lap to go.
7. Checkered-Finished the race is over.
8. Red and Checkered- Finished The race is over and the finishing order will revert back to the previous green flag lap.
Protest
1. All protest and claims must be filed in writing with the tech inspector within 5 minutes of race winner crossing scales.
2. Must finish in top 5 and on lead lap to protest.
3. Protesting car must protest every car that finished in front of him (example the third place car must protest the second place car to be able to protest the first place car).
4. Counter protest allowed.
5. Only one designated representative from the protesting car allowed in tear down area.
6. Only three people from the protested car allowed in tear down area.
7. Protest is considered valid when the money has changed hands. No refunds. No exceptions.
8. Protest must be in writing with car and protest choice.
9. One half hour tear down on all protests.
Protest Fees
V-8 ENGINES
$350 for one head and two valves. (Track retains $50).
$250 for oil pan (track retains $50).
4CYLINDER ENGINES
$250 for head and two valves (track retains $50).
$200 for oil pan (track retains $50).
ALL CLASSES
$150 flywheel and clutch (track retains $25).
$50 for carburetor (track retains $25).
$50 to check wheelbase (track retains $25).
$150 for rear end (track retains $50).
CRATE
$500 for head (track retains $50)
$400 for oil pan (track retains $50)
Any item not listed in protest fees is considered a visual protest and must be protested before the race. A visual protest has one week to correct.
